  • Suncatchers

Everyone knows what suncatchers are: those pretty, stained-glass type thingies you hang in your window so the sun can shine through and make them appear to be jeweled. Today could give a whole new meaning to the word.

Recently, there has been some discussion about crop circles, particularly the one in the UK this past May, which is said to be a warning about a major solar flare up that will affect the Earth's magnetic field. (As for the link, I do not subscribe to all the chakra stuff, but the rest of it is riveting). I've been reading up on solar storms and their effects and I find them too compelling to ignore. A very large and serious solar storm has been predicted for this date.

For those who don't pay any attention to science discussions on forums, here's an interesting news story from January 2009:

If that doesn't surprise you, (like it did me) here's an even bigger surprise: recently Anna has been posting on the solar storm and it's ties to Biblical prophesy. Now, to those of you who know of our history, when was the last time I had anything to do with her? And yet, I tell you now that if you haven't read her blog lately, maybe you should. I may not agree with a lot that Anna says/does, but no one can deny that she is good at researching and bringing ideas together, even if to give you something to think about.

More links about solar storms and their effects:

What effect will this have on us? I don't profess to know everything, or even a lot of things. But it will be interesting to see what will or won't happen in the next week or so. "Let us continue holding fast to the hope we acknowledge, without wavering; for the One who made the promise is trustworthy." (Heb. 10:23) Shalom.

I wanted to comment on this and something would happen whenever I was about to.

Anyway...don't know about the sunspots, I know one ham radio operator who has been very frustrated about the lack of sunspots.  Sunspots create great atmospheric conditions for transmitting with ham radio.

I'm not a fan of fox news so for me anything that comes from them is suspect.

    Good catch on the dam!
